Alkagesta says it completed its first truck-to-vessel marine fuel delivery in Constanța, Romania, on 2 October 2026, supplying 50.164 metric tonnes of marine gasoil from two trucks. In a report published on its website, the company presented the operation as an addition to its distribution capabilities in Romania and the wider Black Sea energy market.
The delivery introduces truck-to-vessel supply to Alkagesta’s Romanian operations. According to the company, Romania has taken on a larger role in its regional petroleum products and biofuels business during 2026. The announcement places the Constanța operation within that expansion, alongside developments in aviation fuel, crude oil and sustainable fuels elsewhere in its trading network.
Earlier in 2026, Alkagesta said it gained access to the NATO Central Europe Pipeline System and began delivering Jet A1 to the European aviation market. It described supply conditions in the sector as acutely tight, with greater military use of the pipeline complicating civilian fuel distribution. The company also reported completing its first crude oil transactions during the period, including an end-to-end delivery of about 1.07 million barrels to the Far East.
In European sustainable fuels, Alkagesta reported securing a multi-year agreement for biofuel storage at Pantank in Antwerp, together with a five-year offtake agreement covering used cooking oil feedstock. It described those arrangements as strengthening its participation in the European biofuels value chain, complementing the petroleum products and biofuels activities it highlighted in Romania.
The company also pointed to activity beyond Europe. Its Singapore hub reached monthly marine fuel trading volumes of approximately 250,000 metric tonnes in its first full year of operation, according to the report. Separately, Alkagesta said its fertiliser desk operated against a backdrop of substantial supply-chain disruption and food security pressures affecting global agricultural markets.
